Again just thinking if its possible. Is there any way to change the .txt without actually accessing it? Maybe do something that would cause a very large amount of data to be inputed (a large string basically) which could shift some values around. Again most likely not possible, but just thinking..

Im thinking that anything that can be done via command in-game, that directly affects a characters .txt (ex. /shutup command), can be somehow used to do other things, modified basically.

Any thoughts?

anything server-side is impossible because anything you play is on the FTP, which you are not able to access without the password or a login.

yes I know that, I was thinking of modifying the /shutup command since it has direct access to a specific point in the .txt . If we could just change where itpoints to :D

We can see that, especially as what just happened to int!

OMG mass hax0rz fubar teh serv0r! They gave themselvs GM powers or got a password to a GM's account.

I'm betting it's GM's account has been stolen rather than them changing their characters files...

;) yah either that, or they hacked into hb ints server, and they made their character GM :P, this way unless they have some type of firewall to detect hackers, they cant tell if someone actually changed their Character to GM... so if they dont get caught, there will be no banning of a char, and once the char gets full of items and like 50000 HP that person just takes his/her character off of GM and has alooot of itmes, this way u dont get caught hahah

The characters are no longer set in .txt files so it is a lot harder to edit them. They are now used in .sql databases. Its more secure so, who ever gets in their

but if the GM's dont know a GM was hacked, then the People from Siementech would think the hacker is the normal GM :P so even if they check the logs it sais the GM's name not the person whjo hacked it and their ip
