Help with private server

I'm trying to make a private server to just run on my computer (for screen shots) can sombody help me. I'm totally lost i tried the guide but nothing happened it said now u can creat ur admin account but i didnt see anything happen so i'm lost
i'd be nice if sombody could send me the files with all the ip's and stuff in it and a client that works or a really good guide for the newb who knows nothing.

**Edit** I would also apreciate it if someone would tell me how to hex a client, and also does it matter if u have a router if your going to only be using 1 computer?

so u need to know how to do the IP thingy eh?
Well it's pretty easy...
Just download, the hex editor from www.helbreathss.tk, and edit the client using that program
When u hex the client:
1. open it up with the hex editor
2. press Ctrl-F to find "check" and an IP address will be around a line or two away from it.
3. Edit that IP address to your own... or to ur offline IP (127.0.0.1)

I dont have a router... so i cant comment... however I read somewhere u'll have problems if u do (for offline play)

note: make sure the client you are editing is around 700 KB, and if it's around 230 KB you gotta uncompress it (don't ask)



Hmm... about that admin account thingy...
You gotta create an account on your computer... to play on... otherwise it's pointless *sigh*
You also have to create a character
