question about sql setup !

well i got it now was some problem with instances ....
but i still cant connect to hg server.. waiting for response ...

That you need help from some guy that knows how the dbs are built into hb, cos thats not any problem that the sqlserver would create. Sqlserver allways work, if not, its some problem with the code that gets the info

ehh .. only ml and wl server access the sql db i thought ...
and from what i know there is only 1 ml and wl for sql available ..

i tried with normal and that chineses hg server .. always the same ...
it shows the client connected in hg and players 1/1
in the client its just waiting for response ..
and in wl it shows the timeout after a few seconds ...
i tried diff configs and ports but always the same ...
dam its so annoying ...

maybe there is a problem with configs .. i tried all that configs but then my hg wont connect .. is there some special setup if ur behind router ??

@dumper, yes, its different configs for router, you need both ex and internal ips in serverconfigs

@sentinel, maby, maby not, it depends of the stupidity of your questions if ill answer them. And yes, you need a brain, its not so easy

lOl, cant help u with that, the hgs should have a own configs, and in the hgconfig.txt or whatever there is what i know internal-server-adress: and external-server-adress: or something like that, you can find out your own adresses by start-run:cmd-type

ipconfig /all

. There you see your ip given by provider, internal ip, mac, hostname eg

@sentinel, forgot to say, that evrything I know about sql iv figured out myself, and what i havent figured it out i ask my dad lol, simple

and what is this CODE_T table good for in mainlogin ... every field is filled with NULL ...

its a emptying table, you can fetch any value and return null

Want an easier way to do it? Don't use mssql. Done. If you want a log server that works and is SQL based, wait until I finish mine. I just resumed the SQL side of it. Looks like the MSSQL is more trouble than it's worth. I'd pass up that security to get it all setup. What's the point of the "security" bonus if your server never goes up? lol.

hey, have u tested to log in from a different ip than your own? It might be that the server wont allow internal requests

And yeah, i noticed a cool thing about dbs, i had a 530 000MB db, and packed it, and it got down to 84MB, XD

Was coding it a few nights ago. Had a hardcore toothache so I couldn't concentrate on anything for the past 2-3 days. I'm just about to get working on it again now.

The txt side of it is complete and fully functioning. The SQL side so far logs you in to view your chars and that's pretty much it xD I hope to have it done within the next few days if not sooner.
