hum as you can see i managed to replacate jaap's account hack probably not in the same way but.. im still pleased with the results

wooh, fill me in. so we're using a port exploit to create god-like charcter through that port? or are we just replacing other peoples char and puttin them in our acc?

So let me get this straight.. GM07 was an existing character on that server? Or did you create it and modified it using the worldserver hack?

This is very important, because I wasn't talking about the worldserver hack. I can insert lines into the account file through port 2848.

If the worldserver hack works, then it renders the mainlogserver hack obsolete. If the server is worldserver-hack-proof, then the mainlogserver hack can be useful if there is a good line to insert.

Edit: note that a combination of the two is an absolute killer. You can takeover any character from any account and also modify it - in other words: you own the server lolz.

well... I see a picture.. where you have char thats name is GM07.. well.. I can make a char like GM0234... but I don't see any proof that this char is GM

It's invisible and has 30000 crits. I think that tells us enough.

By the way, let me attempt to get our faces in the same direction here.

We have the "worldserver hack" in which you are able to modify character files. I suspect Ice-T to have used that hack in order to create a GM07 characer.

The hack I'm talking about can be described as the "mainlogserver hack", because it uses port 2848 - which every server has open otherwise clients wouldn't be able to connect. With that hack you cannot modify character files (at least, as far as I know), but instead you can modify account files.

It makes sense, because the worldserver maintains all the character data, and the mainlogserver maintains all the account data.

Nope. What you saw from Ice-T is a mainlogserver hack.
