Gateserver Question...

Guys I Wanna Run A Sever But I Can I Dide All Right But I Got Some Problem My "GateServer" Wont Cheang The Ip Its Stuck On My LAN Ip & Its No Helping If I Cheng It On The Cfg Pls Tell Me What To Do... thenks

ok... the gate server is meant to be run on the same comp as the.. hgserver... so.. if you are on a lan.. i'm assuming you have a router... if your game is only for lan... then use your lan ip or 127.0.0.1 ... if its for internet... then... port forward the proper ports... then use your lan ip... and it should work..

no man you dont understan... i got another probleam.. i no have router... it just no cheng the ip to mine its all ways stuck on my LAN ip Btw Some One Told Me I Need Something Like GatePatch....But I Dono What IS IT

ok... to completely establish this.... you are on a LAN therefore you are on a network of 2 or more comps connected together.. those comps are connected to the internet through a router which is filtering the data coming in... get it?

if your LAN ip appears.. it means you are working on a lan and there is som sort of device splitting your connection to another comp... put that LAN ip in the gateserver config.... and you should be set... or put it all in the configs... ok???

better yet.. if you still don't get it... post the lan ip here..

i stell dont get you.. pls add me to MSN or something Btw i no have LAN on my home (2 comp's) its only 1 and i got 2 Internet Cards (LAN) but i use only 1 to conect to the net.. another are off ok add me to MSN & if you can pls help me baby-boy360@hotmail.com if you well help me i ll make you GM in my new server or any budy eles who helps me i ll make him GM... thenks

change the gateserver ip in the config to the lan ip.. that appears in the gateserver.. it should work out if not accept on msn and i'll hel pyou even further

He's got the unfortunate but same problem I have and that many other dsl users have which the gate only reads the lan card ip. No matter what I have tried I can't get users on my server other than myself, everyone gets a NULL status when they try to log in. Its an annoying problem.

if thats so... then i guess its a good/bad thing... depends on your perspective...

Drk Tis Problem Have Solution B4 I Format My Comp I got Hexed GateServer (lisening All IP's) ME & Friend Hex Thet Abut 1 Year Ago.. & Now I Frmat & Tis GateServer Delitd & I Got Tis Problem Agin..
