Can some 1 tell me why when i setup my own server
it away stop at stocket 9 connecting
i download it from hbss,tk 3.51 server file
i puted in my IP address rite
dun know what going wrong can some 1
tell me what shoulld i do to get in connected

NO 1 know how to slove this proberm?
i read a lot guild about how to make server and forum
but seen no 1 know how to slove it
and a lot ppl haveing this proberm

It seems that we,the people who have the socket 9 problem, must solve it by ourselves.
To do that i think we could post our configuration (?cfg's?, ?router?,?lan ,proxy server?,Op.System...) to know what we have in common (same sources works for other ppl)

My config:
ADSL modem USB (sux, i know) in Win XP Pro SP1
2 PCs in LAN with a proxy (proxomitron) in the hbserver machine.
Firewall opens the ports i need.
All the cfgs configured with the external IP
First try opening order: Gate, Main, World, home in both, HGserver -> stops at socket 9.
Second try: gate, main (home), HGserver, world, (home) -> worked for 2 Hgserver with only a few maps. More HGservers or more than 15-20 maps opened=socket 9

Im going crazy with this bug, the 2.14HGserver based server i hosted time ago without problems now have the fcking socket 9 problem.

your configs aren't set up properly... hbss.tk = unreliable... go search for mag4sec's website..

With magsec4's 2.24b (even with 2.19) server files i have the same socket 9 error.
HGserver stop whith "log socket connection established log #9" and a few seconds later, Gateserver says "CRITICAL ERROR!: Game server (xxx) does not response", it doesn't matter what server files i use.

seriously i had that problem but i successfully solved it . I solved it by actually opening all the gateserver worldlog and etc..... At the end when i open the hgserver and u can see words coming out then onli press home. Sry it should be something like that I forgotten and I am lazy to check it out.

you could be putting too many things to load in your hgserver... that your comp can't handle it... like you're hosting too many maps... the maps you host have too many mobs... the other cfgs as well.. and still the configs...

try making the gateserver your lan ip... (if you using a router) then the rest the regular... otherwise try maknig all your lan ip... first test it out with the localhost ( 127.0.0.1 ) then... if that works... move onto WAN related ...
www.whatismyip.com ... go there.. and thats your global ip.... put that in all your configs...

for router people... port forward... i never hosted a hbserver with a router
so i can't tell you exactly what ports... but if you can check all the configs.. you can probably find most or all of the required ports..

check the admin log noods, u probably have q item cfg error or some other config errors.or maybe u dont recieve any notify message at all xD
