Well you say that "religions just suck", but your own life would be very different had they never existed. People without beliefs become stagnant as they have nothing to look forward to, no purpose, no deeper sense of meaning. Like the Soviet Union. The soviet society was largely atheist and their only purpose was to live like ants. You live, you work, you enjoy some basic carnal pleasures and you die. I think they robbed themselves of what makes humanity important. They wanted to think man is an animal so they never evolved into anything.
The united states, on the other hand, being "one nation under God" thrived and grew. America is far from perfect but on the whole the average american is a lot happier than the average soviet.
The large number of atheists nowadays are in part the product of hipocrisy on the part of christians. They dislike christians and then start thinking that it's all a big lie because christians aren't perfect. Well, it's their loss for not being able to discern the baby from the bathwater.
I also think there are more atheists on the internet than in real life because i seem to only run into them here. It's said that 98% of the world population has spiritual beliefs of some sort. You have this little 2% thinking they are smarter than the remaining of mankind, which is laughable. Especially since, for one thing, I'm smarter than most of you and I'm a christian. =P

I got plenty. I personally like to think too much, philosophy.
