How Do I Make Beast Spawn Faster

Hey...my question is how do i make the creatures spawn some seconds after u have killed them? :huh:

if you are having problems and monsters arnt spawning fast enough, you have put too much maps on a single hgserver.

hmm i putted 4 maps in one hg and there is low resp.. and i cant find the code that makes it low :( any idea?

Do you recommend like Elvine on a hg and Aresden on a hg and so on?

hmm in Game.h it is defined that DEF_MAXNPCS is 5000. Now i do not recommend you increase this number because it will make everytask related to npcs take longer to work.

And yes i do recommend you keep aresden and elvine in different hgserver. Or mobs will be horrible. Like each map will fight for npc. You kill a rabbit in elvine a slime spawns in aresden etc...

ok...got it too work... i run now 2 hgs with ares in 1 and elv in 1...

and i run ML,and neutrals with elv and huntzones,ares and fightzones in 1
works perfectly :)

it depends on your RAM or? Because i saw people which can host all Maps in 1 HG Server without lagging or Mobs spawn problem.

Everyone of them had 3 GB Ram + and more than 3 GHZ with Sata HDD 240 GB +++

On my home computer i can host all maps on 2 HG Servers without any problems like mobs dont spawn etc...

it not depend on your ram or processor. in 2.24b i havent problems with spawn.

Yeah ram plays an issue but that only makes it laggy if you cant manage all the mobs, it wont make less monsters appear. The monster cap on an hgserver is 5000 if you have all the maps loaded on one hgserver, the zones have a certain amount of Pits which are priority spawn. Those spawns are more important than random spawns. So pits come first, following pits its the random spawns.

Lets imagine you put all zones in one HGserver. You kill one random rudolph in huntzone1 then a liche will spawn in in dungeon 4. Theoretically if your configs are screwed up, you can eliminate all mobs on one map and clear the zone. But then you go to another place and its impossible for you to train cause theres so much monsters.

Also having so much zones in one place will reduce the MASS spawn event in high population zones which is always fun. Going mining with your friend and bam you have 11 cyclops ;-D. I think its each HGservers gets a spawn event every 30 minutes.

The way i like to host is : elvine+efarm, aresden+afarm, the 2 barracks linked together by teleport (i feel this is important because people ALWAYS seem to party with someone and then send them to barracks to get ez exp also linking the ares and elvine baracks is fun), ml+ib+pl, huntzones, dungeons, default+bisle+jail, toh, apoc maps, held maps. Maybe it can be done with one hgserver, but i personally prefer it not to be.
