Private Server Not Working

I think i got all to work correctly, but when i log in and select my character and press start it says Lost connection :huh: how do i get it fixed? and how many maps should i out in the gserv file?

Put as many maps as you want, or your system can handle. Make sure you have ALL ip's correct in all the config. files, if it doesn't work try restarting the server, and if still doesn't work find new files

If you got a Connection Lost it's most likely due to either 1) your gserver.cfg has something incorrect in it (very unlikely) or 2) the character you are trying to log in with has incorrect stat sum. To figure out how many total stats your character should have, take your level and -1, multiply by 3 and add 70.

So level 100 should be (99 * 3) + 70 = 367 (boy I hope I got that right). Then add up your character's str, dex, int, mag, vit and chr and if it equals the formula's sum then it's ok, if not adjust accordingly.

There are other reasons why a character will disconnect, such as experience for the level. I'd post the level chart here but most private server files come with a levelchart.log.

Also make sure that every item on the character actually exists in the item*.cfgs. Delete any items that don't exist.

Thats about all I can think of right now as to why you get a connection lost :).

Well i got it to work by reading older topics and as far as i know i put every map in and i have no lag at all :D

try running it for more then 2 hours and see if you can keep it up

haha it doesnt lag for you cuz ur the one hosting the fucking maps if someone else plays i bet thier ganna get mass lag :P
